O-ring Introduction

O-rings is a kind of rubber seal ring with circular cross section. Because of its o-section, it is called O-ring or O-ring. It began to appear in the middle of the 19th century, when it was used as a sealing element of steam engine cylinder.

Because of its low price, simple manufacture, reliable function and simple installation requirements, O-ring is the most common mechanical design for sealing. The O-ring bears tens of megapascals (kilopounds) of pressure. O-rings can be used in static applications or in dynamic applications where there is relative motion between components, such as the shaft of a rotary pump and the piston of a hydraulic cylinder.

Specifications and models of O-rings mainly include specifications of uhso ring, uhpo ring, uno ring, DHO ring, piston rod O-ring, high temperature O-ring, high pressure O-ring, corrosion-resistant O-ring and wear-resistant O-ring.

The standards of O-ring mainly include GB 1235-76, GB 3452.1-92; Japanese P type, G type, s type, SS / V type, F type; American as568, British series; European series

The technical requirements of O-ring include appearance requirements, dimension requirements and material physical performance requirements.

Appearance requirements conform to GB / t3452.2-2007

Material requirements conform to Hg / t2579-2008

Dimension requirements shall conform to GB / t3452.1-2005
