The Quad ring is suitable for static sealing but not dynamic sealing. The rectangular seal(quad ring) can be used for two way sealing fixed seals. The rubber seal is different, under the pressure state and the stress state, will slowly natural aging, and reduce elasticity. Therefore, the seal ring has a certain service life and is closely related to the quality of the sealing material. The quad seal ring has a relatively low aging rate due to its small amount of compression after installation. The rated pressure of O-ring is 32 MPa, while the Quad ring for seal used in machines is 50 MPa.
